"...when we choose a place to raise our children or live out the rest of our lives it is imperative we set the stage for the best life we can possibly hope for."

There are places we come across on in our lifetime that help us to discover something new about ourselves. Places that somehow change our way of thinking, enrich our spirits, and can indeed change our entire perspectives about so many things.

When people discover Fredericksburg, Texas, this often happens.

Suddenly a perception of what a safe town is, or what traffic is, or what we need to be happy comes sharply into focus and, from there, things only get better.

Often, when people visit and truly discover Fredericksburg, Texas, they discover so much more than another dot on the map or destination or tourist town. They discover a rich and robust community, a vibrant and inspiring entrepreneurial spirit and a wealth of neighbors and coworkers who truly have a concern for those who live not just next door, but anywhere in the outreaches of our community - often spilling into neighboring towns.

They discover that Fredericksburg Texas has that special something that people write about in books when they search to find words to describe the idyllic setting.

They discover that Fredericksburg Texas has that special something that people write about in books when they search to find words to describe the idyllic setting.

Perhaps this phenomenon was even more evident in the past 12- 18 months, as workplaces and spaces shifted and those who were once tied to larger cities were free to move around the country and settle into a place they wanted to live instead of one they had to live in - and instead of looking just for a new place to live, people looked for a place to make a difference, to dream a dream... they looked instead to find a place to belong. And when they visited, they knew they had found just that.

Often it surprises people when they find out that though there are millions of visitors, there are only about 11.000 residents. Indeed, though our visitors are many, our residents are few- and these residents are woven together beautifully to form a tight knit and strong community. A community that truly cares for one another and supports others around them.

Because when anyone discovers our town, they discover much, much more than a "place'... They instead discover the essence of Fredericksburg, TX
- and in doing so they often discover a fresh opportunity, a beautiful community, a small city with a great, big heart - and, in turn, the next perfect place to call home.
